DS-A ROTARY SEAL
The space-saving rotary seal type DS-A is designed specifically for sealing rotating components.
From profile width 3.9 mm it has axial lubricant grooves in the slide ring surface which guarantee sufficient lubrication at higher speed.
The gap between rotor and stator must be smaller than that of the RDA due to the seal design. The DS-I is to be preferred to the DS-A due to its greater static contact surface.
Depending on the specification and operating condition it is recommended to have the running surface hardened to approx. 56 HRC or hard chromium plated.
